If you are someone who enjoys growing giant vegetables, this is one for you. The average size of the squash is around 45 pounds when at full maturity. However, in its native Italy, this variety is harvested very early when the fruits are under 8" in length for the best flavor. When small it is tender, delicious, and isn't stringy at all. This delicious summer squash is great for grilling. Harvest early to extend the harvest on each plant.
